Our PET product line is completely dedicated to our best animal friends. That's why it's the logical next step for us to produce our CBD oil for cats, a specialized CBD oil developed specifically for cats. Our independent friends, who contrary to popular belief are not loners but naturally social animals, deserve easy access to CBD just like us.

Developing a CBD oil for cats presented us with some big challenges. On the one hand, the CBD composition needed to be adapted to cats’ bodies, and on the other hand, cats are not very accepting of commercial CBD oils in their food. We overcame both of these challenges: Many cats have trouble metabolizing the terpenes and phenols found in Full Spectrum CBD oils. So we removed them with elaborate methods and created a terpene-free as well as THC-free Broad Spectrum extract as a result. We were also able to overcome the second challenge after a long test run: By using MCT instead of hemp seed oil and by adding precious, vegan algae oil, we were able to ensure extremely high acceptance among cats.

Sustainably sourced algae oil is produced from schizochytrium algae and naturally has a favorable omega 3-6-9 fatty acid ratio and is considered the original source of omega-3 fatty acids. The high content of the omega-3 fatty acids eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) make it particularly impressive. To obtain DHA, the microalgae are cultivated in large tanks in artificial seawater. The marine ecosystem remains unaffected in the process and fish and krill stocks are conserved. Neutral-tasting and precious MCT oil (MCT = medium chain triglycerides) from coconut oil rounds off our CBD oil for cats.

Our “Cat Edition” CBD oil combines our expertise in CBD with the special requirements of cats. By extracting the terpenes and phenols and using a MCT oil base with an additional 20% algae oil, we have developed a safe CBD oil for cats with a high food acceptance.
